Hayley Limmer

2011 - 2014

Hayley joined AQA in June 2011. She worked largely alongside Debra Malpass on the 14-16 Engineering Education Research Project, a longitudinal mixed method project examining learning and motivation amongst students studying engineering at University Technical Colleges and state schools in Year 10 and Year 11. Hayley has a PhD in Social Statistics and MSc in Social Research Methods and Statistics from the Cathie Marsh Centre for Census and Survey Research at the University of Manchester. She also has a BSc in Psychology from Manchester Metropolitan University and worked in the Cyberspace Research Unit at the University of Central Lancashire. Hayley is interested in the under-representation of young women within selected education and employment trajectories and has recently carried out focus group discussions exploring young women’s experiences of studying engineering at University Technical Colleges. In 2014 Hayley left CERP to join the UK Commission for Employment & Skills.
